Let's Fix: Moves - TMs and Tutors

With the gym rebalance being released soon, and the movepool of almost all Pokémon being changed during the release of Generation II last February, the need for a customizable moveset is becoming more apparent. At present, the Pokémon's moves are random. There is no way to optimize the moveset of your Pokémon to suit your team's need. Honestly, that makes building your team unneccesarily hard. I want to fix that, and the thing Niantic needs to implement to fix this is right under their noses - Technical Machines or TMs.

In the main series games, TMs are disk-like items (diskette-like on some cases) that teach Pokémon a specific move. They are obtained by winning Gym battles, buying it in the region's mall, exchaning for battle points in facilities like the Battle Tower and the Battle Frontier, and sometimes being given by kind strangers throughout the game. TMs, much like any other items, are one-time use items originally, but in Generation V, it can be used more than once, like the Free Egg Incubator. There are originally 50 TMs, teaching 50 different moves. Over time, new TMs are added, some TMs are changed, and are now around 100. They teach a variety of moves and some moves are even exclusively learned via TM.

How will Niantic implement this? First, they should be one-time use items and should be as rare as the evolution items are, maybe even rarer. They should also not count in the bag space, and should also be on a different storage altogether, much like in the main games where in TMs are in a "TM Case".

A personal thought of mine is that they should only be obtained when beating a Gym or achieving a goal, like getting a Gold Medal on a certain type or achievement (e.g. getting Hyper Beam when you get the Gold Medal for Normal Types). You would also get a TM 100% of the time when you beat a gym that is level 7 or above.

One thing I also thought of is Move Tutors, but I honestly don't know how to properly implement it without being exploited by cheaters. My idea right now is that a Move Tutor costs PokéCoins and will let you change one move or both moves to your liking. I think it's not a good idea but if you have a better idea, you can comment on it down below.

I know some of you may disagree on how I think it will be implemented, but I really think most of you will agree that the current system regarding a Pokémon's moves needs to be better. The gym rebalance would be meaningless if we can't use it to it's full potential. Who knows, maybe they'll change everything altogether, including the moves. We'll just have to wait.

Niantic can still implement the TM's just so we can have the ability to customize our teams much like in the main series games. That will definitely add excitement in Pokémon Go.
